Episode #60
1.) Desperate Bicycles - The Medium Was Tedium
D.I.Y. "it's easy and it's cheap go and do it"
2.) David Ruffin - I Want You Back
David Ruffin the bespectacled former temptation cut this album in 71' for Motown but for some reason it was shelved. This Jackson 5 cover makes a hell of lot more sense coming out of a grown man instead of a bejewled dancing seven year old.
3.) Nick Cave - Red Right Hand
4.) Graham Parker - Local Girls
I miss the days when ugly dudes could still be in popular rock bands.
5.) The Donnas - Get Rid of That Girl
Before they tried to rip of Kiss and got all cock rocky the Donnas released this LP on Superteem! later re-issued on Lookout! records. Don't blame early releases for the later sins of their creators, for god sakes this album rocks!
6.) Mekons - Cockermouth
7.) The Penetrators - #1 Band in Town
Fuck yes!
8.) The Dogs - The Most Forgotten French Boy
D.I.Y. "it's easy and it's cheap go and do it"

Episode #59
1.) La Joven Guardia - Extroyo Del Pelo Largo (long haired stranger)
Argentinian band from the swinging beat scene of the 60's.
Headed by one time Modern Lover and Real Kid John Felice, the Taxi boys were born out of the Real Kids breakup and only released a 7" and a mini-12" before the real kids re-grouped for another try. This song is from the Mini-LP put on on Bomp in 1980.
3.) Fugazi - Long Division
4.) Paul McCartney - Single Pigeon
A sweet little song from Red Rose Speeedaway
5.) The Only Ones - The Whole of the Law
Usually I hate the saxophone and this song barley passes the sax test. It should have been on this list.
6.) Brad Neely - Cat People
7.) Elvis Presley - Gentle on my Mind
8.) Banbarra - Shack Up
Find all about this gem here.
9. The Pogues - Body of an American
The Wire was the best television show the medium ever saw. It will be missed.
